patient history

hi! my name is blue, but most people just call me b. i'm a uk-based artist and vocaloid producer. well, kind of. i actually use a variety vocal synthesizers, including vocaloid, synthesizer v and cevio. sometimes i dabble in utau as well.

i make digicore music, and i'm currently preparing for my return to streaming, which i hope to be doing by september. i'm 27 currently and i live with my fiancee, emma, and our 3 cats: midnight, bonbon and mango.

i'm autistic and have a variety of health problems. the main issue at the moment is my spine. i'm due a new mri, but the one from 2019 showed osteophytes in my neck, which are extra growths of bone tissue, also known as bone spurs. they're tiny and you can't see anything. i also have disc dessication and some disc bulging in my lower back. these things typically heal, but unfortunately mine have not. so i'm due a new mri to see the damage and figure out what support i need. i don't expect to need surgery though, because i don't think it's quite that level of bad.

my main hobbies are drawing, listening to and making music, playing and dm'ing ttrpgs (vtm and cyberpunk are my favourite!), sewing, playing video games and procrastinating all of the above.

i am a native english speaker, but i studied mandarin (well, 普通话 actually) at university. my degree was modern chinese studies, which covered chinese culture, history, language, etc. i studied at BNU (被试大) for a year, which was mostly online due to the covid-19 pandemic, but was just as intense. i fell asleep on my fiance and started dreaming in chinese after two 3 hour classes back-to-back.

other notes

vampire the masquerade: bloodlines

probably one of my favourite games of all time. it's what introduced me to the world of darkness in the first place and the entire reason i got into the vtm ttrpg series. i love the style, the aesthetic, the way character creation functions... i just really love this game. i own 2 copies of it, both the steam version and the actual disc which i doubt my computer can even run, to be honest.

i replay it every year. my favourite in game clan is either tremere or malkavian, but my favourite clan in the ttrpg is lasombra. because of bloodlines, i now play vtm quite often. i'm currently playing a ravnos named leon in a las vegas campaign set in 2021. and i have also ran my own campaign in new orleans. it's currently on hiatus due to burn out, but i intend to bring it back.

cyberpunk: 2077

yeah, yeah i know. i heard this game was completely unplayable on release and didn't pick it up until 2024 after i had moved house and didn't have much else to do. i started to play it because i had been running a cyberpunk red campaign for about a year at this point and wanted to get a real feel for night city, so i played emma's brothers copy... and i couldn't put it down.

i was so invested in the game and it's story and i got the opportunity to fall in love with the cyberpunk franchise all over again. this game really hit me and despite it's rough start, i felt changed when i finished it. if you haven't played this game i really do reccommend it because the emotional impact it had to me needs to be studied.
