to my ugly ass website!

the main purpose of this site is to host and archive my art, ocs, music and other creative endeavors without relying on another website, social media or algorithm. this is all me and all for me.

i am not much of a coder. i learned everything i know about code when i was 13 in one all-nighter on rp forums and then didn't touch html for like 12 years. i have just learned css and hope to learn a lot more some day. probably.

i ordered cake today lol. i had £20 in my paypal so i was craving cake so i ordered me and em a cakeaway.
we get cake delivery from this bakery not far and they have the biggest freaking slices i've ever seen, so i always have to cut the slice in half and save some for later because it's so huge. good value for money though, imo. it's like a little over £5 for a gigantic slice, that is about the size of 2 regular cake slices so when you think about it that way it's kinda more like £2.50ish for per slice lol.
my status.cafe account got activated today! so now i gotta figure out where i wanna put that. like should it be on the home page? or shall i put it on my webmaster page? i mean i don't currently have space of it on the homepage but i could move some shit around... much to consider.

anyway i fixed the nav buttons. they still don't have anywhere to link yet, but the home button being red with an underline bc i didn't use onclick was starting to bother me so i fixed it lol.
i think my mode of operations here is to do the pages webmaster > character directory? just because that's why i started the site. i'll be extreeeemely gradually adding my ocs, start with my vtm characters most likely and very slowly add new characters over time. i have a stupidly high number of ocs, so i'm not sure i will archive every single one of them here. but for now there's my toyhou.se and my friend avery's stories page documents a couple of my ocs as well.
also, i, like everyone else, has been playing tomodachi life. my island is called TWICEland and is populated mostly by TWICE and my ttrpg characters. my ravnos vampire leon was confessed to by ebony dark'ness dementia raven way, im nayeon from twice and kagami kawaiine and he rejected all of them. tragic. i currently only have tzuyu and chaeyoung of twice missing on my island. i need to make them soon.

saturday is ttrpg day and this week were playing vtm, probably my favourite ttrpg in existence. i just love the white wolf games a lot. it was emma's turn dming today which is fun, she's a very loose planning dm which always makes sessions interesting because literally anything can happen. there is never a set path and there is always chaos. very fun, i like that in our group we have such a variety of dming styles. it really makes each campaign have such a sense of identity.
it was also my cat's birthday today!! his name is adonis but i call him bonbon. it's complicated lol. he started as adonis, then donnie, then don, which eventually evolved to bon/bonnie, which in english sland is like good looking. no relationto the fnaf character, though when my fiance put a fnaf video essay on he did sit and watch the screen the whole time, so maybe some relation.
he was 8 today, it's crazy i've had him so long. i got him when he was 4 months old from an animal shelter. he had 2 sisters alana and amara, and i really wish i knew who had his sisters because i think it'd be so cute to reunite them and see if they remember each other just once.

as a rare birthday treat i gave them some chicken for dinner. i just boiled it, so nothing fancy, but a nice treat for them and nothing potentially hazardous for them!
we had korean barbecue chicken over sticky rice, but i started taking my antidepressants again and they make me really tired for a couple weeks so fell asleep on the couch at about 5pm. whoops!! and i had wanted to work on the site and do some drawing lol. oh well, always tomorrow (well, i'm writing this tomorrow. so today, i guess.)

today i increased my med dose. i'm taking gabapentin atm and i have to work up to 3 tablets 3 times a day, 9 in total. i just increased from 1 tablet 3 times a day, to 2 tablets. so far no real side effects which is nice!!
i made a button today. i don't love animating or pixel art, but i think it turned out well and i don't mind doing the odd blink cycle every now and then. honestly, the pixel art part wasn't all that bad. i still don't intend to consider this site "live" til my navigation links actually work lol.
i've been wondering if it would make more sense to have this area be a site updates area and move the blog to a separate page. coz then i could include images and stuff. i mean, i can include them here too but idk i wonder if it's a little clunky/weird to have this box here. i'm also trying to decide if i want a guestbook or not. i both feel a level of anxiety about the idea of having people be able to comment on my site but also like the idea of people being able to be like hey i like similar stuff to you so i can check them out, yknow?
i also made and updated the graphics for my landing page. i think i like them? but i'm not sure. they're supposed to kinda look like manga panels? but im too addicted to this specific csp pencil to make them believably manga panels. the second one has a nosebleed. i don't think vampires can get nosebleeds, but i liked the aesthetic lol.
i've been listening to a lot of interesting digicore lately so i've made another inspiration playlist. so i might actually make some more music soon. maybe. i've been really vibing with the new tiffany day album and i recently discovered 8485 so i've got a little inspiration going on atm. fingers crossed.

i'm going to the twice concert in london soon. i'm like excited but also terrified, because i'm not done with my freebies yet or my outfit aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. plus it's my first ever kpop concert and i don't even know how to hand out the freebies lol. i'm assuming it's just in the line? but who knows. if you're curious i bias jeongyeon but i'm an ot9 collector, my bias wreckers are chaeyoung and dahyun.
i'm making a replica of jeongyeon's set me free desert damask corset top but i've never actually sewn a corset before so i'm kinda nervous lol. i just got the email from the hotel as a reminder for the trip and now i'm gonna explode aaaaaaaa. i'm so glad all the girls are back now. i was gonna be so sad if dubchaeng weren't both there.
i've made my landing page now with a disclaimer for the crt and potential nsfw. i don't think it's worth flagging my page as 18+ because i don't think i'm going to post anything too graphic??? but obviously i'll change that stuff if i ever do.
i have no intention of ever formatting the site for mobile. this page should be mobile compatible, but the rest probably won't be. sorry to mobile users i just don't see the point :P. i also changed the url to bloodsick over yunxue since i haven't finished the site yet and nobody knows it exists yet, i figured it wouldn't matter.

started putting together a layout today for the site. she's a bit ratchet but that's ok, the point is i did it myself and i had some fun doing it. i know this code is deeply inefficient, but idc because it's mine.
right now i'm using tomie placeholders but i have full intentions of making original assets for the sidebar image and header.
none of the links work yet, because i want to make sure the homepage functions first. it's kind of nice to have a project that doesn't require drawing or music production at the moment, because i'm finding those things tricky lately. i'm hoping synth v andi will save me.

i had a doctors appointment today to review my medication. i have some spinal problems, including osteophytes in my neck, some disc bulging and dehydration in my lower back and possibly other issues (hoping to get an updated mri soon). i was given a medication called baclofen to try two weeks ago but it made me sick, so i'm trying a different medication now. fingers crossed!

got uber pissed off at toyhou.se today. the email attached to my account is compromised because it uses mail.com as an email provider and they're super useless, so despite having the login details, i can't log in because i don't have the same number anymore and they are completely ignoring me. anyway, the reason i'm mad at toyhou.se is they say they can't help me change the email despite having done it for other people in the past and an area in their updates saying this is possible.
this bothered my so much that it finally pushed me to start actually coding this website lol.
